Vocal Few Keeps “The Dream Alive”

Vocal Few Promo Picture

Have you ever listened to an album that described your relationship with your significant other? Vocal Few’s “The Dream Alive” EP has done that for me. It documents the joy and hardship in being with your soul mate.

“The Dream Alive” is the first single of this EP and is a catchy song about living in the moment. The music video incorporates this song’s themes in a visually fun way. ”Time” starts with a unique sounding guitar part. This song has a similar feel to songs from “Tall Trees” and “She’ll Be Right” with an updated sound. The crashes and builds are pronounced and show a diverse song structure.

“Take Me Back Again” shows the range of this band. The sound is serious with relative lyrics. This song relates to people in a committed relationship and all the forgiving that constantly occurs. “You’ve Been Written” shows the satisfaction and joy of having your soul mate. The vocals stand out in this song. You can hear the passion and love for each other throughout this song.

This album shows how serious and fun loving Vocal Few is. They have documented their joys and struggles in a way the listener can relate to. The vocals stand out because their voices complement each other very well. I would rate this album a 4.3 out of 5. This band continues to grow lyrically, vocally, and instrumentally. Old and new fans will enjoy this record. My favorite song on this album is “You’ve Been Written.” This song relates to my current relationship because she is written in my life forever. This chorus is fun to sing along with and the song full of catchy verses.

Go purchase “The Dream Alive” EP at Amazon, iTunes, Band Camp, and Vocal Few’s Store on October 30, 2015.
